You should ask what safety precautions their employees must adhere to while working on commercial roofs. It will benefit you in the long run to ask this question, so you can hold the company to a certain standard.

If you are dealing with a company with a large service area, it might be helpful to ask what jobs they have done in the area to get a sense of how well they are familiar with the conditions some buildings are subjected to. Also, if you are dealing with a contractor that works on more residential roofs than commercial, you may be better off working with someone else.
